Vaillancourt Folk Art produce beautifully detailed chalkware figures, created in Massachusetts, using antique chocolate molds.
In 1984, Judi Vaillancourt received her first three antique chocolate molds from her husband Gary. Today the Vaillancourt family has over 4,000 vintage molds which makes up one of the largest collections in the world. Vaillancourt chalkware figures are made in Sutton, Massachusetts. Their collection consists of more than 15,000 designs of Santas, Father Christmas, Belsnickels, chalkware Rabbits, and some Halloween figures. Every year, Vaillancourt Folk Art creates Door County exclusive pieces for Tannenbaum Holiday Shop, as well as their Starlight Santa which benefits a Massachussets organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for children undergoing medical treatments.
