In the 1950's Annalee Thorndike took her childhood hobby of making dolls and turned it into a business that would continue to grow over the years. In the 1980's, Annalee started to create dolls that were more holiday-focused. When it comes to Annalee's dolls, there is one characteristic that stands out...the smile. "It's the positive-ness of the face," says Annalee. "If you smile, someone else has got to smile back!" The dolls are made from a wire frame which gives the dolls flexibility. The artists position the dolls in ways to give them personality. The dolls are created to be whimsical and full of character but " the thread that binds them together as an 'Annalee' is that each and every one of them energetically celebrates some aspect of life itself - life at its very best. Therein lies the magic. Some magic works wonders as a home decor display or just a gift for someone special, yourself included!" - Annalee
